Don't hate on Merlot! It's what makes this Bordeaux oh-so-silky smooth.
GRAPES: 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Carmenere
PROFILE: Blackberries, black currants, rosemary and lavender, woodsy-earthy notes, pretty tannins
FUNDAMENTALS: Destemmed fruit to curtail 'green' notes; fermented in concrete vats for freshness; finished in a big o' barrel
PAIRINGS: Grilled meats, game meat like duck, bold cheeses
FUN FACTS: Earned Wine Spectator 90 points (for all y'all that care about those types of things...). 2015 also happened to be a great vintage in Bordeaux!
