Lezer means 'light' in the local dialect of Trentino, Italy. This is a lively light-bodied red to be enjoyed with a slight chill. The label, like the wine itself, is different each year.
+ GRAPES: 84% Teroldego, 16% blend of Schiava and Lagrein. Organic growing on the steep cliffs of Trentino, Italy by iconic woman winemaker, Elisabetta Foradori.
+ PROFILE: Dry, light body, medium tannins. Waxy cherry, hibiscus tea, cranberry, wild herbs. Slight pepperiness on the tail.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: Partial whole-cluster fermentation. Winemaking in a combination of cement, stainless steel tank, and amphora. Unfined and unfiltered. Low sulfites.
+ PAIRINGS: Pairs beautifully with spiced dishes, such as Indian curries and Middle Eastern cuisine, as well as other more traditional Northern Italian fare.
