Well, hello little rare grape! This is Piemonte's 'other' red grape: 100% Pelaverga Piccolo - a variety unique to the sub-region of Verduno.
+ PROFILE: Light-med bodied, and take nicely to a chill. Zippy strawberry, baritone cherry, dried rose, black peppercorns. Stoney mineral, saline finish.
+ VINIFICATION: All stainless steel for fermentation, and a combo of stainless and cement for aging.
+ FUN FACT: The Pelaverga 'Speziale' was first made in 1973.
