Lestignac, 'Va Te Faire Boire' Rouge 2022

Availability: In stock

PEACOCK SAYS: DRINK ME!

I have a new label this vintage*! And a slightly different blend, but still wildly delicious.

+ GRAPES: Certified organic, biodynamic principles. A blend of mostly merlot with some Malbec in this latest vintage, estate-grown in South West France.

+ PROFILE: Juicy! Medium body and acidity. Fresh, loads of red fruit, savage berries, white pepper, and an underlying woodland herbaceousness. Enjoy with a hard chill and a burger or dog from the grill.

+ FUNDAMENTALS: Hand-harvested grapes are left whole-cluster, and vinified in concrete tanks. No fining or filtration, suitable for vegans. Contains a very modest amount of sulfites.

ABOUT CHATEAU LESTIGNAC
Château Lestignac is overseen by Camille & Mathias Marquet, a young couple who inherited the family farm in 2008. Initially spanning 17 hectares of vinifera vines, the Marquets streamlined the vineyard to focus on prime locations and integrated a diverse garden and livestock to establish a genuine polyculture, complementing their mindful, organic farming approach. Their inaugural vintage as Lestignac was in 2009, marking the onset of their transition to biodynamic farming by 2011.
