Unusual, but true. This is a fun 'local' red that's naturally made, low ABV, and ready for a chill.
+ GRAPES: 100% old-vine Merlot. Certified organic. Grown on clay/limestone soils in North Fork, Long Island. Vinified in Maine.
+ PROFILE: Dry, light body. Fresh and juicy, and a wee bit natural leaning, with notes of plum, cranberry, tomato leaf, forest herbs, earthy tannins. Ready for a slight chill and burgers on the grill!
+ FUNDAMENTALS: Hand-harvested grapes. Zero added sulfites. Made entirely using carbonic maceration. 1/3rd of the wine is made in stainless steel, and 2/3rds in neutral oak. A portion of the wine sees extended skin-contact to lend complexity.10.5% ABV. Small production.
