+ GRAPES: 65% Nero d'Avola, 25% Nerello Mascalese, 10% Perricone. Organically grown on a family estate in Partinico, outside of Palermo on Sicily's northern coast.
+ PROFILE: Light-medium body. Lots of complexity: red wildflowers, earthy cherry, black raspberry, iron minerality, flinty bramble. Finishes with bright acidity. Light chill suggested.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: Hand-harvested grapes. Six days of maceration for all of the grape varieties. Co-fermented in stainless steel, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
+ TERROIR: Soil in general throughout the vineyards is 40% sand, 30% loam, 30% clay.
