+ GRAPE: 100% Ciliegiolo. The name means 'cherry' in Italian, and that says it all. Organic growing in both the Chianti and coastal Maremma region of Tuscany. One of many lesser-know Italian grape treasures.
+ PROFILE: Dry-juicy, light body, medium tannins and lively acid. More gravitas than the the label suggests. Violets on the nose, followed by ultraviolet cherry, crunchy red raspberry, fresh wild berries, and a touch of spice. Enjoy with a light chill and a cheese + salume board.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: This native grape sees lo-fi winemaking, entirely in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness.
+ FUN FACT: The ladybug on the label represents the winery's close vineyard ally, and a nod to the ecological true north they follow.
